Meeting Highlights
- The MRBC Executive Committee is still actively searching for and encouraging representation from the forest industry to join the MRBC executive committee and work on Mobile River Basin issues.
- A presentation of the new MRBC website was viewed by the committee. Several suggestions from the committee will be incorporated into the web site including using a web page to facilitate registering for the Re-Introduction Workshop in August.
- Several publications are now in final draft form and ready for printing, including the MRBC logo and letterhead stationery, an MRBC Accomplishment Report, and the third edition of the Threatened and Endangered Species of Alabama.
- Details of the August Re-Introduction Workshop were worked out including a draft agenda, a list of potential speakers and presenters, registration procedures, and advertising. The conference will be designed to address landowner questions and concerns relating to re-introduction of aquatic species into the Mobile River Basin.
